Art Project
All of the mentors have artistic qualities. And have previously worked in jobs where creative expression was essential. We have a qualified illustrator/artist that is able to provide expert knowledge on techniques, styles and ways of drawing, painting and using numerous types of materials and artistic equipment..
Our illustrator puts together projects such as ‘The Car Project’ which gives the children a long term project along with a focus and a more positive outlook.
For many children completing a piece of work and trying their best can be difficult due to lack of self confidence, poor self-esteem or lack concentration. This project is designed to capture the imagination of children as well as giving them a structure to work to.
The end result of this project which has been proved time and again is a great feeling of achievement for the children and they learn that if they take pride in their work they too are able to produce excellent high quality art work.
We hope that this filters out into other parts of their lives giving them the confidence and ability to take on new challenges and succeed.
We aim to provide support and guidance to children, young people and those engaged with them, by removing barriers to learning in order to promote effective participation,
enhance individual learning, raise aspirations and achieve full potential.
