Art project- A specific program to gain the attention and creativity of disaffected children. This program runs for one day per week for one term and consists of two learning mentors working with a qualified, working illustrator

Woodwork projectA program that gives pupils the opportunity to design and build a range of objects such as aeroplanes, boxes, cars and much more. This project gives pupils that are have more ability with their hands to produce a finished piece of work that they can be proud of. This program runs for one day per week, for one term and consists of two learning mentors working with a highly experienced and qualified carpenter.

Tai chi project-This program gives pupils the chance to join in one of the oldest forms of non contact martial arts. Tai Chi focuses on slow movements of the body in synchronisation with a partner. There is no competition involved and the best students will be the ones that move most freely and easily with each other. This program runs for one day per week, for one term and consists of two learning mentors working with a qualified Tai Chi expert.

Tennis project- Sport is a very important part of every child’s life and tennis gives students the opportunity to develop a work ethic and discipline themselves to be able to play the game. Self control is vital in tennis. Showing this type of control can transfer into other parts of the child’s life builds confidence and self esteem. This program runs for one day per week, for one term and consists of two learning mentors working with a qualified tennis coach.

Drama project- Drama gives students the opportunity to express and explore their own capabilities. Self expression is something that most children are very good at and also enjoy. This activity is also very good for self esteem building. This program runs for one day per week, for one term and consists of two learning mentors along side an established actor.
